ESOL

ESOL/ELCATE: The English for Speakers of Other Languages and English Literacy for Career and Technical Education programs prepare students to communicate in English to improve job skills and to further their technical and academic studies.  Classes focus on the life skills, reading, test taking skills, listening, speaking and writing.  Students advance through the different levels at their own rate of learning.  All ESOL/ELCATE levels are open entry/open exit.  Students may register for multiple classes, up to 35 hours of instruction per week.  A non-refundable Assessment Fee of $10 and a $10 Student Activity Fee will be charged once per school year.  Photo ID required at the time of testing/registration.

ESOL/ELCATE SCHEDULES:
Morning Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 11:00 am
15 hours per week
Afternoon Monday-Friday 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
15 hours per week
Night Monday-Thursday
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
16 hours per week


5:00 pm - 5:50 pm - Computer Lab (Room860)  6:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Classroom

Saturday Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
4 hours per week

ONLINE
:  Monday- Sunday:  Students must have access to the internet on a daily basis to complete classwork.  An at home computer with high speed internet access is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.  Students must work for a minimum of 600 minutes per week.
Online ESOL Levels:  High Beginning, Low Intermediate, High Intermediate and Advanced.
