Applied Academics for Adult Education (AAAE)
For the student who needs to improve basic skills requirements to succeed in a certificate program and/or in the workplace. Reading, Math, and Language instruction is provided. There is a $10 nonrefundable assessment fee and $10 Student Activity fee per year in addition to tuition.
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
ABE is an individualized, self-paced program to assist the student in raising their Basic Skills scores in Reading, Math, and Language. The course is designed for students who score below the sixth grade level on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
There is a $10 nonrefundable assessment fee and $10 Student Activity fee per year in addition to tuition.
General Education Development (GED® Testing Program)
Our GED® Testing Program is for the student who needs to prepare for the GED Test. Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science instruction is provided. There is a $10 nonrefundable assessment fee and $10 Student Activity fee per year in addition to tuition.
Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) was developed to measure basic essential skills in the academic content areas of Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Language usage. These entry level skills were deemed important for nursing program applicants by a panel of nursing program curriculum experts. McFatter Technical College's acceptable scores on the TEAS, Version V, is a proficient level or 55.0% overall.
