General Education Development (GED®) Preparation:
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for academic and personal success through obtaining the necessary skills required to pass the Official GED® tests and be awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma.  This program strives to motivate students not only to obtain GED® , but also to utilize the acquired skills in the workforce and to achieve career training and job placement success.

The GED® program is open-entry/open-exit and self paced.  Instruction will be provided, using a variety of instructional materials, in the four (4) subject areas measured on the GED® Tests:

  • Language Arts, Reading & Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Program Schedule/Cost:

M - F 8:30 am - 11:30 am $30*
M - F 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm $30*
M - Th 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm $30*
Sat 8:00 am - 12:00 pm $30*
Online   $30.*

*The fees reflected above do not include a mandatory $10 activity fee (charged yearly).   All fees are subject to change without notice.

Test Information/Registration:
Registration for the GED® tests is open to anyone 18 and older.  It is strongly recommended that any adult interested in registering for the GED® tests take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) prior to registering for the GED® tests.  The TABE is a placement test that will assess your skills in reading, math, and language and will provide you with information to determine if GED® preparation classes are necessary.

Students who wish to register for the GED® tests may register online by visiting or by calling
1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433).  You will need the following items to register:

  • A valid government photo ID, such as a passport or license
  • A valid email address
  • Credit or debit card for the testing fee ($32 per subject)
